Miocene Alligator Skull
Santa Fe River, Florida

I finally got around to making a display cabinet for the gator skull. Jerry gave me the vertebrae he had collected that went with this animal. I was able to attach two more of the verts to the back of the skull, some of the smaller verts must be tail verts so I mounted them together on the base next to the skull.

The inside of the display is made of birch wood, the outside is pine stained a dark walnut color. The glass sides and top make it easy to view from all angles. I will take it to shows for others to enjoy.

I also attached the five armour scutes I found with the specimen, they are mounted on the right front corner of the base.

This is a cool pic a friend sent me, a fossil diver from long ago with a mastodon jaw and teeth.

The rivers are full of fossil treasures, all you have to do is dive for them!
